Acceptable Use Policy

1. Legitimate purposes

• Audit websites you own or manage, websites of your clients, or other publicly accessible websites that you analyse for a legitimate purpose, such as research, benchmarking or competitive analysis.
• Comply with all applicable laws, including data protection, intellectual property, unfair competition and sanctions laws.
• Do not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions of the European Union, the United Nations, the United Kingdom, the United States or other applicable sanctions, or on behalf of anyone who is.

2. Protecting the websites we audit

• Do not use the Service to overload, disrupt or attack any website or to test its defences, for example by repeatedly auditing the same website to generate traffic.
• Do not try to make our crawler access non-public areas, such as pages behind logins or paywalls, private or internal networks, or addresses you are not authorised to access.
• Do not use Reports to find and exploit vulnerabilities, to bypass access controls, bot protection or robots.txt rules of other websites, or to harass or harm website owners.
• Respect website owners' choices: do not try to audit a domain whose owner has asked us to exclude it.

3. Protecting our Service

• Do not circumvent or attempt to circumvent free-check limits, rate limits, per-domain cooldowns, human verification or other protective measures – for example by using multiple accounts, automated sign-ups, rotating IP addresses or proxies.
• Do not access our website or application by automated means (bots, scrapers or scripts) except through features we provide for that purpose, and do not systematically extract data from the Service.
• Do not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems or breach their security or authentication measures. If you believe you have found a security issue, please report it to support@siteupward.com – we welcome responsible disclosure.
• Do not interfere with the Service, introduce malicious code, or reverse engineer, decompile or copy the Service, except to the extent the law expressly allows.
• Do not share sign-in links or accounts to let others use paid features without paying.

4. Reports, share links and content

• Do not use share links, Reports or white-label Reports to publish or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, misleading or infringes the rights of others.
• Do not edit Reports in a way that misrepresents their findings or falsely attributes statements to us or to others.
• Do not submit website addresses in order to have unlawful content processed, stored or shared through the Service.

5. Reselling and agency use

• You may deliver Reports, and advice based on them, to your own clients as part of your services.
• White-label Reports without our branding are available only with products that include them: the 10-audit pack and the Agency plan.
• You may not resell, rent or sublicense access to your account or to the Service itself, give third parties access to it, or build a competing product or dataset from it, without our prior written consent.

6. Enforcement

If we reasonably believe that this policy has been breached, we may investigate, refuse or stop audits, disable share links, remove content, limit, suspend or close accounts, and report unlawful activity to the competent authorities. Where reasonable, we will contact you first and give you an opportunity to explain or remedy the issue. Refunds in such cases are limited to what the law requires.

7. Reporting abuse

If you believe someone is misusing SiteUpward – for example our crawler is causing problems on your website, or a shared report contains unlawful content – e-mail support@siteupward.com with the details: the domain, the affected pages, the approximate time and, for share links, the link itself. 8. Changes

We may update this policy. Our Terms of Service explain how we inform you about material changes.
